Important facts about Botox
» The benefits may last 3-6 months; average is 4 months.
» An enhancement may be necessary in 1-2 weeks. Please inform us if resolution lines have not taken effect within 8 days.
Injectable Filler
» Immediately after your procedure and for 24 hours you should avoid the following:
» Strenuous Exercise
» Sun exposure/heat exposure/tanning beds
» Massaging/pressing areas treated
» Extreme cold temperatures
» 48 hours after your procedure you may begin adding gingko Biloba, garlic, flax oil, flax oil, cod liver oil, vitamin A, vitamin E, or any other essential fatty acids
» If Laser treatment, Chemical Peel or any other procedure is considered after Injectable Filler treatment, the risk of eliciting an inflammatory process may be possible. Consider such treatments 1 week before and/or after Injectable Filler.
Laser/IPL Treatment
» Be careful with hot water and do not bathe with very hot water until healed.
» Pigmented and vascular lesions will appear worse for approximately 3 days and then the areas should begin to fade over the next 2-3 weeks. It is normal to experience flaking and scabbing over treated areas.
» Keep the area moist with Aloe Vera gel until inflammation resolves and the area is healed.
» Compression stocking should be worn for 48 hours after each laser spider vein treatment, then daily for one week.
» Keep the treated area out of the sun. Sun exposure is to be avoided for at least 3 weeks before each treatment and for at least 4 weeks following each treatment. If sun is unavoidable, cover it or block it with SPF 40 or above.
» Keep clothing from rubbing the treated area and avoid other irritation to the area.
» Do not use hairspray on or around the treated area
» There will be redness of the treated areas lasting for several hours to 3-14 days. Abnormal reactions include severe redness, pain, any break in the surface of the skin, drainage, rash, and/or severe itching. Notify Vanishing Veins should you have any prolonged redness, excessive puffiness, or other unusual side effects.
» Each area to be treated usually requires an average of 4 to 8 treatments approximately 4-8 weeks apart.
» Avoid make-up, retin-A, alphahydroxy acids, glycolic acids, and astringents on treated area(s) until healed.
» Do not shave for 48-72 hours following treatment.
» Do not wax, pluck, or bleach between treatments (shaving is ok).
» It might be impossible to remove the spider vein forever. Even though the spider vein may be diminished or “disappear” for long periods of 3-6 months, it might return in the future. The fact that the spider vein responded to the treatment and was disabled for an extended period almost invariably mean it will respond to future treatment. »
