PRE TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Botox® & Injectable Filler
» One week before exclude: Aspirin (Advil, Aleve, etc.), Gingko Biloba, garlic, flax oil, cod liver oil, vitamin A, vitamin E and any other essential fatty acids.
Laser Hair Removal
» On the day of your treatment DO NOT use make-up, lotions, creams, serums, tanners, or any other products on the areas to be treated.
» Do not wax, bleach, use depilatory creams (Nair), or have electrolysis for 4 weeks. Please trim or shave the day before or the morning of each of your treatments.
» Avoid any chemical peels, photofacials, and microdermabrasion for 2 weeks prior to treatment of the same area.
» Avoid unprotected natural and artificial sun exposure of the area to be treated for 2 weeks for best results. A broad spectrum sunscreen (UVA and UVB) with SPF of 30 or greater in recommended.
» Avoid large reflective jewelry (ie earrings) on the day of your treatments.
Photofacial/Skin Rejuvenation
» On the day of your treatment DO NOT use make-up, lotions, creams, serums, tanners, or any other products on the areas to be treated.
» Avoid unprotected natural and artificial sun exposure of the area to be treated for 4 weeks.
» Avoid Chemical Peels and Laser Hair Removal for 2 weeks or until healed.
» Avoid large reflective jewelry (ie earrings) on the day of your treatments.
Laser for Leg Veins
» On the day of your treatment DO NOT use make-up, lotions, creams, serums, tanners, or any other products on the areas to be treated.
» Shave one day before your visit.
» Avoid unprotected natural and artificial sun exposure of the area to be treated for 4 weeks
» Diabetic patients need their blood sugar under control prior to treatment
» If you have compressive stockings, bring them to each treatment. Otherwise, stockings can be purchased at the office.
» Avoid large reflective jewelry (ie earrings) on the day of your treatments.
CONTRAINDICATIONS OF LASER TREATMENT
1. Pregnancy.
2. Skin cancer or skin disease. Recent chemotherapy or radiation.
3. Unprotected exposure to sun or artificial tanning (tanning booths and self tanner lotions) during the last 2-4 weeks.
4. Active infection of herpes simplex (ie cold sores) in the treatment.
5. Warts in the desired treatment area.
6. Diabetes (unless under strict control).
7. Any person taking accutane with in the last 6 months.
8. Use of depilatory cream (Nair), waxing, bleach, or electrolysis in the last 2-4 weeks.
9. Chemical peel or other laser treatment, of the area to be treated, within the last 2 weeks. (i.e. A patient can not have a photofacial then an upper lip hair treatment with in two weeks of each other).
