When choosing skin care products, one can easily get overwhelmed. So, where do we start? Let’s look at skin care as a multi-pronged approach, where the cornerstone ingredient is vitamin A. From here, each additional ingredient should act as a tributary to this fundamental skin vitamin. Throughout the coming blogs, I will address these core ingredients in depth: packaging, application, and storage.
As we look for the most effective ingredients against aging, photo damage, and problem skin, it is imperative that your skin care regimen include these transformative ingredients: vitamin A, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, peptides, growth factors, AHAs and BHAs, cool peels, and effective sun care.
Restorative skin care should be formulated from the highest, clinical grade ingredients to maximize results. Look for packaging that protects the active ingredients, such as, airtight containers that prevent oxygen and light from entering, thus destroying the efficacy of the product.
In the next blog, I will focus on the many forms of vitamin A, and how to effectively implement this vitamin into your current skin care regimen. Until then, stay protected with a physical-based sunscreen and lots of antioxidants.
